Chef’s Choice: Pulled Hoisin Chicken Burger

By Jun 22, 2019 Chef's Choice

Don’t you just love Peking Duck wrapped into a thin pancake and dressed with hoisin sauce? And how about pulled meat barbecue burgers, are you a fan? If all this sounds good, you’re in for a treat!

If duck pancakes and barbecue burgers had a child, this week’s Chef’s Choice would be it. The Hoisin Chicken Burger.

The pulled meat for this one is easy and quick to make. Chicken thighs cook on a pan with Teriyaki sauce and a splash of water for about 15 minutes. Then they are ready to be shred to pieces and coated with hoisin sauce. Simple!

In the meanwhile, potato wedges roast to perfection in the oven. For the last minutes, coat them with sesame seeds… seriously yummy.

Then whip up a refreshing lime mayo and chop some cucumbers. Assemble your burgers, and that’s it! Time spent: 35 minutes. Needless to say, but we’ll say it anyway. Enjoy!

What else is good next week?

We’re hoping that all seafood lovers will be very happy, as usual! The Provencale Baked Seabass is a firm customer favourite. One of our new recipes of the week is a wonderful Dilly Cod and Prawn Chowder. We’re confident that it will also become a customer favourite – it is absolutely delicious.

A few months back we had Swedish Meatballs on the menu, and you loved it! However, some of you wished that it came with a sauce. So, this time, we added a refreshing dill yogurt to the ingredient list. Children will probably be happy with the meatballs and mash, but now there’s a new and exciting component in the dish for the adults to enjoy!

A meatless dinner once or twice a week is always a great idea. We’re constantly coming up with new Vegetarian and Vegan recipe ideas. Try, for example, Huevos Rancheros with Avocado, Tofu and Mushroom Ramen with Eggs, Creamy Pepper and Tomato Vegan Pasta with Pine Nuts or Hawaiian Veggie Poke Bowl with Wakame Rice. Mexican, Asian, European, Fusion… Choose your favourite flavour combination!

Have a great week of great eats!
