Now, count you’re A’s, B’s, C’s and D’s!

If you got:

Mostly A’s: Yes, fine dining is your thing! If you prepare your Valentine’s Day dinner at home, choose the recipe well in advance and get the ingredients a day before. Then you can fully concentrate on cooking and taste testing, so that the flavours are absolutely perfect when the time comes to serve the carefully prepared plates. And, if you decide to go out, just choose that nice restaurant you’ve had in mind. Don’t feel guilty when the bill arrives. You’ve earned it.

Mostly B’s: You can skip the red mat. Sparkly is not your thing, so why try fitting into that role? You’re far too interesting and adventurous for those “be seen” places. Instead, find a selection of small bite recipes to cook for your Valentine! Or, if you decide to spend the evening in the city, choose a lively after-work corner joint and order a range of nibbles. Party until the small hours, and grab a vegan burger on the way home.

Mostly C’s: The key word for you is: authentic! You’re always on the lookout for the best Vietnamese / Korean / Mexican / Indian / Ethiopian / Thai / Chinese experience in town. So, why skip your best finds just because it happens to be Valentine’s Day? Better yet, take a trip to an ethnic supermarket and find just the right spices, condiments and produce for your home-cooked Thai green curry, Mapo Tofu or Dakkochi chicken skewers. You will surely impress your date!

Mostly D’s: You’d choose a juicy burger over foie gras any day! We don’t see one good reason why you should spend your dirhams on edible gold on Valentine’s Day. You know what you like, so go for it. Better your date sees the real you now and not after ten years of marriage! If you’re lucky, maybe he or she turns out to be a pub grub lover just like you!
