We’re excited to announce a number of significant product enhancements we’ve been working on.
All of these initiatives are based on your feedback, and this is our way of saying thanks!

More choice

We now have 2 boxes: The Choice Box and The Classic Box. Don’t worry, you can still get your Low-Carb, Family, and Vegan recipes!

With the Choice Box, you now have up to 16 different recipes to choose from every week. This open format will bring down the silos we had with our previous offering, allowing you to choose whatever you like on the menu every week. With the Classic Box, you have up to 9 recipes to choose from.

Default meal plans

Sometimes life gets busy – and it’s our goal never to send you something you don’t like. Your selected meal plan is used as a default in case you don’t get around to choosing recipes (just as it was before). So, just in case, you’ll always receive recipes your household prefers. However, we do encourage you to take advantage of this new opportunity to choose from a greater range of delicious recipes!

Better online experience

We’ve completely redesigned the website, with the goal of enhancing your recipe selection experience, improving the site’s speed, and making the design more intuitive. You can also rate your recipes, refer friends, and edit your account more easily than ever before. We hope you like our new look too!

Gourmet recipes

While all of Hello Chef’s recipes use ingredients like grass-fed New Zealand beef, antibiotic and hormone-free chicken, and responsibly sourced vegetables, our Gourmet recipes feature premium cuts of meat/fish and/or high-end seasonal produce. For an optional supplement (starting from AED 15 extra per serving) you will have an elevated gourmet-style dining experience.

Important note on order renewals

To make way for these changes, we now renew orders 4 days before their scheduled delivery. So, if you are set to receive your next delivery on a Saturday, your card will be charged on the Tuesday at 12 noon (4 days) prior. Sunday deliveries will renew on the Wednesday before, and so on. Please be sure to skip any deliveries you don’t want by then. We will continue reminding you about the cut-off via SMS and/or email just as we have done before.

FAQ’s

What should I do now?

Go to https://www.hellochef.me/my-account/ to review your account now. You’ll see that your subscription has been allocated to the same meal plan you were on before, and you can change those settings as often as you like. You’ll also see that you have more recipe choices than ever before!

What happens to the Low-Carb/Family/Vegan box?

You will still get whichever Low-Carb, Family, or Vegan recipes you prefer. But in order to provide you with more choice, we now sell our boxes as either the Choice or Classic Box with your preferred meal plan set as a backup in case you don’t get around to selecting your recipes.

Why have you made these changes?

We want to provide you with more choice than ever before, while not taking away any of the other benefits from our previous format. We’ve also worked hard to improve your online experience while using our site as much as possible.

How much more do I have to pay per week?

Nothing at all. You’ll be paying the same price as before for the equivalent recipes you were ordering. The only time you’ll pay a little more is if you decide to try our optional Gourmet recipes, of which there will be at least 1 to choose per week. Note that we now display VAT inclusive prices to make it more clear you are paying VAT. However the final amount you pay is the same as it was previously.

What happens if I don’t do anything?

Nothing at all – you’ll be set on the price and type of recipes you were receiving before. We do however always prefer that you choose your own recipes, and you can do so for up to 3 weeks in advance at any point in time.
