Pasta lovers! Here’s how to win a beautiful knife set with Barilla

From a creamy fettuccine alfredo to the silkiest spaghetti carbonara, there’s nothing quite like a beautiful bowl of pasta. Whether enjoyed in the trattorias of Italy or the comfort of your own home, this universally loved ingredient is one of life’s simplest pleasures – and for good reason.

To celebrate its importance in the culinary world, along with its popularity amongst our customers, Hello Chef has teamed up with Barilla, the world’s largest pasta producer, to bring the highest quality of ingredients to your kitchens. 

Using durum wheat, Barilla prides itself on sourcing ingredients that produce the ultimate ‘al dente’ finish. With a history of more than 140 years since the brand first began in the open fields of Parma, Barilla has certainly stood the test of time in asserting its position as a global leader in one of our all-time favourite ingredients. 

We may not be able to travel right now, but throughout July, Hello Chef customers can look forward to welcoming Italy’s finest produce into their weekly menu choices. Using Barilla pasta, cook up a classic spaghetti bolognese with parmesan, or try a vegan alternative with pine nuts and gremolata. If you’re feeding a family, try our comforting cheesy pasta bake – it’s sure to be a guaranteed hit. 

But that’s not all. The best news is that we’re running a month-long competition with the popular pasta brand, where not one – but four lucky Hello Chef customers can get their hands on a fantastic prize.

Up for grabs is a beautiful Ballarini Tanaro knife block set (worth AED 575), which would make the perfect addition to the cucina of both aspiring home cooks and professional chefs alike. Made from elegant dark wood, this seven-piece set comes with five knives and a pair of all-purpose kitchen scissors. 

To enter, simply pick a pasta recipe to include in your weekly menu, and share a snap of your finished creation on Instagram – tagging @hellochefme and @BarillaME. One winner will be selected per week, with four winners set to be announced across July. The competition will begin on Thursday 9 July.
