Taste of Tokyo: Say hello to our new Japanese recipe range
Didn’t make it to Tokyo this summer? Don’t worry – we’re bringing the Taste of Tokyo to your kitchen this autumn with our brand-new, limited range of Japanese recipes.
The recipes are available to order now, with 8 Japanese-focused dishes to choose from over the next 4 weeks. Using traditional ingredients and bold flavours, the recipes are designed to take you on a journey through the Japanese culinary scene – all from the comfort of your kitchen.
If that’s not enough to tempt you, we’re also offering those who order the recipes a chance to win an exciting themed giveaway every week. We’ve got some incredible prizes in store, from a sushi-making class to dinner vouchers across Dubai. Simply select your recipes from the Taste of Tokyo range to be in with a chance!
Earlier in the year, we reached out to our customers to discover the cuisines that they wanted to learn more about, and Japan’s vibrant, diverse flavours came out on top, accounting for more than half of the votes.
With this in mind, our recipe development team set to work, curating concepts that showcase the very best of Japanese cuisine.
Tabetha, our recipe developer who led on this project, hopes that the range will appeal to everyone – regardless of their dietary preferences. “Our customers are at the forefront of every recipe that we develop. For this range, we wanted to ensure that it could be enjoyed by everyone, so we made sure to include meat-free versions of some of our favourite dishes in the range – namely the katsu curry and kare rice.”
She added, “Surveying our customers for this was a really useful activity as it gave us clear direction in the types of recipes to create. If I had to pick my favourite dish from the range, it’d be the Japanese Chicken Thighs with Miso Eggplant and Cucumber Salad, as it combines so many techniques and flavours yet is easy to pull together. Chicken thighs are also a hugely underrated cut in my eyes!”
